This beautiful lyric work begins slowly with a brief baritone solo and lots of expression throughout.  A broad, sweeping theme, and an alternating eighth-note pattern in the clarinets, gives the impression of being over the water, which then builds nicely and soars gracefully to a quiet ending.  A very musical piece for young bands!
