Persichetti's complete Symphony No. 6 has been a band repertoire staple for decades.  To give more bands the opportunity to experience the Persichetti masterwork, the second movement is now available separately.  While the notes are not difficult, the piece does require particular attention to phrasing and expression.  An ideal choice for contest.
