The sky can be gold fading into night and when clouds are present, the sky becomes a canvas of unlimited color. After Sunset paints the through its beautiful melodies and shifting meters. The piece gives young string players the opportunity to play in different meters as it moves between 4/4 and 3/4. After Sunset is written for two violins and cello but also has optional viola and bass parts as well as a piano accompaniment part.
