Alfred's All-In-One Sacred Course

Designed for the Christian student, this course incorporates the appealing music and activities from Alfred's Basic All-in-One Course with lyrics and illustrations that reflect spiritual and inspirational themes. Students will be exposed to Christian values and principles as well as Biblical lessons while learning basic musicianship skills.  The Course includes lesson, theory and solo material.  Book One gives an introduction to playing tunes on the black and white keys using pre-staff notation. Each stave is introduced individually and then the grand staff is presented.  Students play in middle C and C Major positions. Students are also oriented to melodic and harmonic intervals of 2nds and 3rds. Again, all five levels of this course parallel those of Alfred's Basic All-in-One Course (see Methods for Children section). Books two through five progress to reading melodic and harmonic intervals; playing in middle C, middle D, C, F, G Major positions -  and study of their respective scales and chord progressions.  Essential musical concepts are taught throughout the course.
