All Shall Be Well
Text by English mystic Julian of Norwich (c.1342-c.1416). This piece was commissioned by the late Dr William Hayes for an International Women's Day Service at his church, Second Presbyterian Church in New York City. He wanted a piece with text by a woman and music composed by a woman. He also specified that I create a piece that could wrap around the readings (sung in sections) and include an Amen, or could be sung as a complete piece. His choir sang the first two section before the first reading, then sang the second section and the Amen after the reading.
