Ancient Hunters

This piece was inspired by the stark beauty of Badlands National Park in South Dakota.  The music is bold, aggressive and reflects a time when man had to hunt for food to feed their families.  The music starts slow with the main melody in the low strings.  It moves into a more aggressive sound and builds.  The violins soar up an octave as an energetic rhythmic exchange builds to the end.
