Appalachian Folk Fantasy

Your orchestra will have the opportunity to sound its best with this beautiful composition based on the traditional folk song Poor Wayfaring Stranger.  It contains some very rich writing and the basses and celli have especially nice parts to play.  Some basic third position is called on in the first violins, and the key change from A minor to B minor is exquisite!  It's very nicely done, very expressive and is sure to be a powerful moment in your performance.
