This lyrical work was inspired by the traditional folk tunes and hymns of the Appalachians.  Using mostly a simple pentatonic scale, the warm melody evokes rustic images of  the American outdoors.  The writing makes even smaller groups sound full.  This is an ideal choice for your next concert.
