This charming miniature suite of Appalachian favorites includes a melancholy arrangement of Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair; a dance-like rendition of Sourwood Mountain and a stellar setting of Simple Gifts.  The mixture of musical styles is skillfully combined, well paced and attainable by young bands.  An outstanding concert selection!
