Teach many concepts with one favorite song. Apple Tree is a great song for first and second graders to teach steady beat, rhythm, and melody. The PowerPoint presentation contains several slides that help teachers prepare and present the concepts of steady beat, ta and ti-ti, and solfege (do) as well as allow students to practice them. Rhythm slides include beat and rhythm icons; ta and ti-ti with and without names; and rhythm reading. Melodic slides include presenting do; icons with words for do; noteheads on staff with solfege; and words with G and F do options. This resource also contains worksheets to practice rhythm writing; rhythm cards with icon notation; rhythm cards with both stick and regular notation; projectable and printable tone ladders; and writing the notes on the staff exercises.
