Publisher Desc.  This composition is inspired by a few Georgia, and in particular Athens, GA bands - REM, B-52s, and Ben Tucker from Savannah. So this tune has a kind of boogaloo beat and closely models the harmonic structure of Ben Tucker's tune 'Comin' Home Baby,' made popular by Herbie Mann. It is propelled by the thumping pizzicato bass line. There is quite a bit of syncopation, but it is relatively consistent from part to part. The first violin ventures only sparingly into third position. There is a breakdown section that gives a nod to the great James Brown. The tune builds to its end with the catchy, recurring unison lick!
