If you've ever had the opportunity to see the northern lights, or aurora borealis, then you know of the sheer magnitude and stunning beauty of this phenomenon. This original work, one of the Bay View Week of Handbells Series, was commissioned by Fred Gramann in honor of his wife, "who is his Aurora, the goddess who brings brilliant colors that dance in his life's sky." Aurora, which means "dawn," might bring out feelings of joy, excitement, peace, sorrow, beauty, and reminiscence. This composition presents all of these emotions in this beautiful concert work.
