Aurora

This atmospheric work is named for Aurora, the Greek goddess of the dawn.  A pervasive spiritual feel permeates the piece, depicting the ancient belief that dawn was the expression of day conquering night.  This is a true tone painting, where the use of color evokes imagery of ancient cultures and traditions.  As a European composer, Thomas Doss may not yet be a familiar name to you, but his compositional skill will soon make him as well known in America as he is in his native Austria.  Directors of mature bands will want to seriously consider this work.
