The music of this Pulitzer Prize-winning composer has garnered the attention of performers and audiences from all areas of the performing arts.  In this work he incorporates the sound of a Gamelan orchestra into the fabric of wind band instrumentation.  The exotic percussion enhances the wind writing for a unique blend of styles and color.
