This reproducible resource/method covers playing in first position over 55 pages of materials. Includes weekly string exercises; accidentals; songs in the keys of C, G, F and D major; duets; tuplets; right-hand studies; and chords and scales, all in first position. At the completion of this text, students will have learned to play all of the notes in the keys of C major, A minor, G major, E minor, F major, D minor, D major and B minor, on all of the strings in first position. Students who successfully complete quarters 1, 2, 3 and 4 will have completed the new national standards as outlined by the National Association for Music Educators. This text is intended as either a stand-alone class method or as a supplement to any beginning guitar text. Using this resource as a supplement provides rich classroom activities to enhance and fill in the gaps other beginning guitar methods - which are usually written for individual use and not for the classroom - leave. As most school quarters last 45 instructional days, there is enough material for more than a new page every single day.
