This greasy, low down blues in 12/8 lays back hard and delivers the cure for all that ails you. Simmering with that "in the pocket" groove, this tune starts with the rhythm section in an easy going feel and boils into a wailing blues shout before it's time to get back on the couch again with that frozen dinner and relax with some soulful blues. In the first chorus, the saxes do the lifting accompanied by rhythm section fills, then the saxes and brass do trades before the written or improv tenor sax solo. Then there's a hot, down 'n dirty shout before the quiet ending. Highly recommended!
