Bye Bye Blackbird

This swinging chart is a great vehicle for a tenor sax soloist with jazz band. The solo part ranges from written melody to a written jazz solo, all very accessible, and it especially swings when the tenor soloist trades fours with the ensemble. The ensemble and soloist are equally featured throughout. The lead trumpet range is to written G top of staff and optional parts are included for expanded instrumentation. A great jazz standard for developing jazz groups!
