What a wonderful choice for a holiday concert! Corelli's "Concerti Grossi" are brilliant examples of Baroque orchestral writing, with many sequences, chain suspensions, and sharp dynamics. This is one of the best-known of the concerti, and due to its inscription Fatto per la notte di Natale ("made for the night of Christmas"), it's perfect for any seasonal concert. This arrangement is right on the mark for orchestras at the medium level. Superb!
