Subtitled Dance of the Volcano Goddess, this is an intensely evocative and dramatic work for young band. The piece incorporates a number of effects including chanting, clapping, driving rhythms and biting, dissonant harmonies to create a cinematic portrait of an imaginary island facing the threat of a volcanic eruption.
