Two song cycles are included: Another Place, on texts by Mark Strand, and Be Music, Night. Another Place contains five songs: The Coming of Light; Another Place; XVIII from Dark Harbor; An Old Man Wake in His Own Death and The End. Be Music, Night contains four songs from a variety of lyricists: Bride of the Fire; Baby Song of the Four Winds; For Harvest; and Be Music, Night. The collection also includes three stand-alone pieces: Summer Stars; Nightsong and Piano.
