Concerto in E Flat Major for Alto Sax and String Orchestra

Edited by Regina Back & Douglas Woodfull-Harris.  For alto saxophone & string orchestra.  Urtext Edition.  Preface in Ger. and Eng.  This last work by Glazunov was first performed in 1934 and has since become part of the standard saxophone repertoire.  The score contains the original version of the work without alterations which were made in the proofs to the orchestral score, as well as the full version of the composer's cadenza which was later shortened.  Also contained is an informative introduction with commentaries about the history of its composition, facsimiles and a critical commentary.  The solo part includes both the complete and the shortened version of the cadenza.  Score, 22 p. and part.
