Similar to Lee Morgan's Sidewinder, this tune is written in a moderate soul/jazz style. This funky arrangement for six horns and rhythm section is sprinkled with stop-time breaks and catchy riffs, plus it's a fun chart for soloing! The small band instrumentation is for six horns (ATB saxes, two trumpets and one trombone) plus four rhythm with optional additional parts included for alto, tenor and trombone. It's perfect for smaller programs and additional ensemble opportunities!
