While in Level Two, the student progresses to the early intermediate level and is introduced to new concepts such as dotted half notes; dotted quarter notes; primary chords in C and G Major; V7 chords; half and whole steps; 6/8; and a new key, D Major. Hand positions do not always adhere to standard middle C position, C Major position, or the like, especially since scales are introduced at this level.
