You can almost envision the three witches dancing around their kettle adding the ingredients for their potion in this choral adaptation of the witches scene from Shakespeare's Macbeth. Starting simply with one voice singing the main theme, the piece builds continually toward a climatic and frenzied ending. The accompaniment is supportive but also supplies much of the frantic and mysterious mood. Great text and a fun sing. Available in SATB or SSA voicing.
