Musicians familiar with Ticheli's compositions will recognize his moving, sensitive writing.  Now adapted for concert band from the original vocal setting, this work combines poignant choral lyricism with the wide color palette and expressive power of concert band instrumentation. Few technical demands allow the full attention of listeners and performers to be focused on the abundant expressive musical qualities.
