Claps are written into the music to introduce a percussive sound mixed with the ordinary piano sound, so the mood is lightened with a bit of humor. Each piece is short and is a rhythmic coordination drill. These are very funny, especially Recital Mosquitos where the players pretend to be attacked by these pesky critters and still attempt to play. The titles are:
