The majestic scene of the great tall ships as they sail into port is brought to life in this sparkling overture!  A thoroughly enjoyable concert piece, it has all the audience appeal and worthwhile musical attributes you expect from James' compositions.  The easy meter changes in the opening section make fine teaching moments.  A lovely, spirited overture!
