This work is a thoughtful and reflective setting of two great Irving Berlin songs, Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor, with text from the Emma Lazarus poem The New Colossus, and God Bless America, which is sung or hummed under narration. This beautiful arrangement, which also features a cello obbligato, will make a wonderful concert closer.
