This rousing and stylish march has become the musical symbol of international friendship and goodwill, and this edition continues that proud tradition. In light of the reestablishment of relations between Cuba and the United States, it is most appropriate that Col. Bourgeois' edition has been designated the official march of the inaugural Cuba/United States Wind Band Symposium.
