He Shall Arise
Tom Fettke has effectively captured, through music, the emotion of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus in He Shall Rise. His dramatic use of classical choral literature is tastefully surrounded with compositions from today's most sensitive writers, reminding us of the pain and agony Jesus suffered on the cross, as well as the victory of the resurrection. Always the master orchestrator, Tom Fettke has used classical themes from composers such as Sibelius, Beethoven, and Vivaldi, and blended them with well-known spirituals and hymns such as Were You There; Ride On King Jesus as well as contemporary numbers from composers such as Michael Card and Barry McGuire. This is a significant contribution to the body of major works for Easter, and it is one we very highly recommend!
