Publisher Desc.  Hebdomas Squatinae was written under the influence of George Crumb's Vox Balaenae (Voice of the Whale) after talking to a flutist who had recently performed the Crumb and had created a trio to tour with the piece. I thought a companion piece on the topic of sharks would be somewhat interesting, and that led to the Latin title.
