High Society

This traditional 1901 march has four sections, the third section trio is what was recorded by the early jazzers, and contains the melody most people are familiar with. This arrangement presents all four sections of the original march without the repeats and travels through the styles of march, swing, and finally samba, which is the feel for the main body (trio) of the chart. High Society features a relaxed tempo, moderate ranges and easy blowing changes making it an interesting, yet accessible chart. The lead trumpet part goes to written C above the staff.
