Hymn to the Sun

This selection is suffused with impressionism's parallel chords, and it musically mirrors the various words of its text, an excerpt from a play by Casimir Delavigne. This new edition gives English text as a prosodic translation of the original French. This permits performance of the work in English with proper phrasing of both the music and the text.
