Incandescent Movements
Publisher Desc.
All it takes is one movement to strike a fire. The rhythmic energy in this piece is just
that. The punctuated 8th notes
throughout this piece are aural representations of the sharp movements that
can start a fire like two rocks striking each other or the striking of a
match. While fire is innately
dangerous and can cause so much damage it also is a natural part of life
and often breeds new life in the case of natural wildfires. The middle section of Incandescent
Movements is about the life that is created in the aftermath of a fire and
the beauty that comes with rebirth.
But, life is cyclic and fires are likely to happen again as portrayed
in the finale of this piece.
