Publisher Desc.  This piece was written for the Chicago Brass Band Players. The Introduction has fanfare type figures combined with a lyrical line over an ostinato. The Aria is operatic with lyrical outer sections contrasting with a dramatic middle section. The Dance uses rhythmic sections of 7/8 and 5/8 contrasting with sections of 4/4 that contained tight counterpoint. The tonal language is modal and tonal throughout.
