It Ain't Easy Goin' Green is a delightful trombone solo feature that honors the amazing talent of the great trombonist Urbie Green. This chart is an easygoing bossa nova with accessible parts for the band and soloist. The solo is mostly written, but there are a few places where some improv chops are necessary. Highly melodic for both the ensemble and soloist, the ranges are reasonable and the band is featured as well as the soloist.
