Koala Lullaby is an elementary piano solo with lyrics and is in the Noah’s Ark Series of piano solos by Lynne Cox. This series focuses on global music emphasizing different styles in music. The lullaby is appropriate for the koala, the animal that sleeps the most on the planet. Composed in the key of G, Alberti bass is used in the left hand. Both hands are in treble clef throughout and the right hand plays the single-note melody. The damper pedal is used and the soft pedal added to all of this gives it a music box effect. In ABA form. Chosen by NCMTA Jr. A III contest list for 2014. As with all solos in the Noah's Ark Series on the back are listed facts about the animal and locale as well as the theory in the piece.
