Lauda

This fanfare, set in a simple ABA form, includes a setting of the hymn Praise to the Lord, the Almighty presented exclusively in the organ. Countermelodies and motifs are introduced throughout the work in the brass, woodwinds, and strings which are tossed around the orchestra. The work culminates with the orchestra set against the hymn presented one last time in the organ. Brilliant brass fanfares and sparkling woodwind flourishes are all grounded by the organ hymn.
