Life Doesn't Frighten Me at All
This wonderful setting of Maya Angelou's famous poem has a nice gospel touch and uses mixed meter, independent vocal lines and dissonant, jazz-influenced harmonies. The text, as Angelou said herself, is meant for "all children who whistle in the dark and who refuse to admit that they're frightened out of their wits." A terrific choice for children's choirs!
