Lifesongs

The three songs in this set show the result of using a marimba in the writing process rather than the traditional piano or guitar. With poignant lyrics from Josh Oxford, Jessie Linden, Valerie Asuncion, and Grace Asuncion plus added metric twists indicative of a percussionist’s rhythmic mind, LifeSongs captures several aspects of the human spirit. The songs may be performed as a full set or individually. If you are uncomfortable singing while playing the marimba, feel free to invite the talents of another performer to join you.
