Look Back on Time

Weaving a dramatic narrative between two Emily Dickinson poems, this selection reflects on the nature of our mortality. Winner of True Concord's inaugural Stephen Paulus Emerging Composer Competition, this piece is mostly a cappella, with the piano arriving and departing as a separate voice in the conversation. This is a lovely soundscape - beautiful and effective.
