This percussion ensemble arrangement of Joe Zawinul's classic tune, Mercy, Mercy, Mercy, pays homage to the Buddy Rich Big Band. The arrangement utilizes a section for "open" mallet keyboard solos (if desired) using the G-blues scales. In addition to the vibraphone soloist, the marimba and xylophone players may also solo over the same section. The piece is scored for orchestra bells, xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, bass guitar, and drumset. Always a winner!
