Night Flight is a fast-paced composition, written in an aggressive 4/4. All voices of the ensemble have the opportunity to feature the melodic theme. The intense nature of the piece is characterized by accented rhythmic figures throughout most of the piece. Articulated eighth-note patterns should be played with force and separation in the forte sections, and light and separated in the expressive sections.
