Nocturne

This romantic work lends itself to creative interpretation on the part of both soloist and accompanying wind and percussion instruments which often share in what is perhaps more aptly described as a collaboration. Multiple meter and key changes blend into an almost impressionistic veil of unrushed expression. The solo is equally suitable for flute or oboe.
