Noel Nouvelet

This traditional French carol dates from the late 15th to early 16th century. The song was long ago translated into English as Sing We Now of Christmas; the word "nouvelet" has the same root as "noel," both stemming from the word for news and newness. The title literally means "Christmas comes anew." This arrangement represents one in the series of band arrangements compatible with David Willcocks' Carols for Choirs.
