Arranged by J.C. Sanford, this Dave Liebman jazz waltz includes a good deal of counterpoint, and alongside the main soloist, there is a major trombone solo also. The arrangement is episodic with a dramatic arc of tension and release sections and a sophisticated use of harmony. The trumpet 1 part goes to one high double G-sharp. Alto 1 doubles on soprano and flute, alto 2 doubles on flute, bari doubles on bass clarinet. Solo soprano.
