Prelude on Ash Grove
A delightful dialog between handbells (or handchimes) and organ is the highlight of this beloved hymn tune, frequently heard during the Thanksgiving season. After a brief original introduction played on bells, the organ part enters and is the first to introduce the main theme before giving it away. Available for either 2-3 octaves or 4-5 octaves, the bell parts are remarkably accessible and enjoyable to play, and the crisp, lively tempo makes it useful for any part of the service.
