Pull

Composer James Matheson describes this light, hot and virtuosic work as a brief but intense struggle between two groups of musical material, tugging at each other and vying for dominance as a push and pull of contrary yet complimentary forces. Pull was composed for saxophonist Samuel Lorber and features a solo part that soars and glitters.
