The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Book of Revelation are the basis of this exciting and dramatic original composition. There are four sections, each musically illustrating the devastation represented by the horses and riders: conquest, war, famine, and death. The use of mallets, martellato, ring touch, shaking, and optional handchimes add to the various colors and textures of the piece. Appropriate for concert or worship when the focus is on themes of turmoil, pain, suffering, and the end times.
