Reverie D'ivorie
Christopher Brubeck wrote Reverie d'Ivoire in 2002 in honor of his father, Dave Brubeck. Dave Brubeck studied with Darius Milhaud when Christopher was a toddler and thus, Reverie d'Ivoire has a strong French influence. It also incorporates the two men's shared love of boogie-woogie. This is a serious, dramatic piece for piano solo - with an opportunity for the soloist to improvise. Approximately 3 minutes.
